I come to second life for a release from the stress and pressures of real life. I have met a few very good people and I have met way too many confused individuals who can’t seem to distinguish reality fro VIRTUAL reality. I was given free land in Scion City…..why i don’t know. I stayed for more then a year and learned to enjoy the poorly build sim. there is something about its lack of content that i found comforting , even though it is just an advertisement. Due to small minded, confused, and greedy people- I was forced to quit the group. Constant harassment and an idiotic virtual power struggle ensued. I have no idea why i played along as long as i did. I accomplished much for Millions of Us during my time there. I recruited most of the residents now in the group. I protected the sims from griefers and abusers. I never asked to be paid…i did what i did out of principal, it was my home in SL. I worked hard to create traffic. (numbers went WAY up in the last few days even) I have recruited a regular stream of visitors who like to play there and i hope they continue to have fun there. But SL is not business for me. its play. drama and the condescending attitudes of the people who made the place (not run it, I was doing that on a daily basis) and their refusal to give direction or fairly address issues that came up in a timely manner have forced me to quit, i dont want the headaches ,,,i will reiterate……i just want to have some fun. So for everyone who lives in Second Life because their real lives suck, should get therapy.lol. In the end I refused to put their business before my personal beliefs and principals….I never compromised my philosophy through all the bullshit that went on their….and i am stronger for it. Free land? who needs it? SL is HUGE and I look forward to exploring all the new people and places that have popped up while I’ve had my head up my ass in Scion City. I promoted their projects, while they stifled mine. So now their target demographic now think they “rule” the virtual streets. How sad for small minds, how sad.
It is said that if you don’t stand for something you will fall for anything….apparently i am one of a very small number of people who just refuses to put up with certain kinds of things. a quitter? or am i merely retaining my honor and respect for myself? you decide. SL is a huge environment, but apparently greed drives most people to the point that they forget the truly important things in life…….market days in Sarlat….camping in the grand canyon….the smile of my child when she wakes up in the morning and says “daddy want some O’s please” REAL THINGS.
anger, hatred, greed, pettiness, all of the worst parts of humanity will always follow us every where we go, the near infinite capacity for human beings to HATE is matched only by the near infinite capacatiy for LOVE……….which are you? Do you take the easy way out? or constantly struggle and fight for LOVE in your life?
I care not for anyones judgement, i wake up with myself every morning and judge myself by my actions….I am A good person and no one can take that away from me ever.

My company doesn’t need this kind of atmosphere to operate in, corrupt police arrogant disrespectful gangstas. I tire of the BS and drama. I’ve always cared about Scion City. I’ve protected the streets and residents. but its no longer worth the effort.

Hello neighbors!
I wish to once and for all address the situation of the”scion cops” group. They are troublemakers, on repeated occasions I have warned the creator of the group- Turner Krell -about rules for RP in Scion City. I also warned him about wearing a false -=Scionist=- tag, yet the problems continue.
I would unfortunately like to announce that all current Regent Industries projects are on hold until this wanna-be police force is under control. The fun of a few “cops” is not worth the hassle, annoyance and aggravation of Scion City residents and visitors.
Thank you once again……..

I have not personally spent very much time on the streets in Scion City lately. Recently Osiris Chevalier has called to my attention the “Scion City Police” and “Rebel Commandos” groups that have established themselves in the city. Intimidation, impersonation, and attempted extortion are being reported at an increasing rate. On 2 occasions in the past week I have been interrupted from work to ban out of control “police”. Repeatedly I had warned them about exactly how things get done in Scion City.
Osiris has recommended a more active engagement, on a level these groups can understand. I’m going to leave it to the judgement of Osiris for now. I’m sure he can handle it. Plus he needs the break we have all been working hard here lately.

Fellow Scionists and visitors to Scion City, a new group…the self proclaimed “Scion City Police” are not an officially sanctioned group. They are, no doubt, in the pocket of local 2-bit gangsters and do not have the best interests of the city and its residents and visitors as their first priority. The leader of the “police” group has been know to impersonate a -=Scionist=- on occasion so beware. Though I am glad to see some fresh faces around and welcome anyone who wants to play in our streets! Any current security concerns in Scion City are still to be addressed to myself or the community manager.
On a positive note I have created a news and general chat group for the Scion City called, Scion City Underground. Enrollment is open and free for anyone to join. Osiris Chevalier will handle all postings for Regent industries. Though I may have to occasionally toss in my 2 cents
Thank you..be safe..have fun…….>.< Seth Regent >.<
Hello, while Regent Industries is operational and currently handling clients, we are getting closer to a public debut. The website and laboratory facility are currently under construction. I have deployed a second receiving dish in Scion City to facilitate increased traffic on the companies networks and to serve as a back up in case of technical issues with the main network receiver.
New board members have been selected:
Osiris Chevalier-Chief Information Officer and Director of Special Projects.
Exal Grut-Chief Financial Officer and Senior Liason.
Nyko Merlin-Director of Public Relations.
Angelique Hapmouche-Chief Security Officer and Senior Advisor.
Nammon Piek-Lead Archivist and Lead Network Engineer.
Finally I would like to address recent allegations of eavesdropping. During the process of configuring Regent Industries networks there was some feedback/interference on several channels. Some of this feedback consisted of audio signals reflected from the Sci-Tek dome that covers the city. No information was collected or recorded, it was merely a technical glitch that has since been worked out by our technical staff. We are sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused and I am available to answer any questions concerning this issue. But I assure you that the betterment of Scion City and its residents is my utmost concern.
Thank You, >.<Seth Regent>.<
What I have done in the past is not important. What I am capable of, and what I will do: these things are important. Finding my niche in Scion City has not been easy. Now that I have, I am more focused then ever. Regent Industries is now fully self sufficient. The company has it’s own power, communication, and data grids. The long awaited laboratory facility will soon be officially under construction. All services and limited stock of products are now available at the garage in South Scion City.

Hello Scion City Merchants & Residents. Our fearless Community Leader Daphne Molinari will provide you with blog access. Just IM her in Second Life and she will be happy to send you login information.
I don’t have any rules yet for blog posting, but I guess we should make some. What do you suggest?
Sitting here in my office, the sun is setting in Scion. I revel in the days events and think what the days ahead will bring. For those of you that don’t know me, my name is Daphne Molinari, the Community Manager here in Scion City. I look forward to getting to know you all and want to take this time to not only introduce myself, but to welcome you to Scion City. Scion City is a virtual community here in Second Life. I have been a resident of Second Life for about 4 and a half years, and can tell you it’s an extension of myself that I would not trade in for the world. And now, I would like to bring that opportunity to you.

Tapping the enter key, I scroll through all of the new merchants that have made a home here in Scion, I smile. The people here in Scion are just bursting with creativity! I now have a task at hand, bring in more…
Applications sit here in a folder, I browse through and set my mind to the next step. Build…that’s what I must do. Yes, that’s it…I must build. Make room for more stores, give others the opportunity to have a starting point to launch a promising career here in Scion.
Over the next few weeks there will be changes, glorious changes that will breathe even more life into this wonderful place I call home, in this ever changing virtual world.
I think I’ll take a drive…that always helps me clear my mind. Grabbing the keys to my new 2008 Scion tC I step outside, I hear music coming from the club. Sounds like they are having a good time over there, maybe I’ll stop by for a few…
